Switches
Switches either allow or deny the flow of current, allowing current to be directed.
Switch definitions
There are many types of switches:
- SPST: Single-pole, single-throw
- SPDT: Single-pole, double-throw
- DPST: Double-pole, single-throw
- DPDT: Double-pole, double-throw
Double-throw switches are used to direct current to other places.

There are a whole host of different kind of switches, push buttons, rotary, mercury, toggle switches, rocker, lever, slides, illuminated and push-on/push off electronic buttons.
